Well I totally agree with you on writing a letter to get back your ex. It is always easier to write it down than talk face to face. While you are writing a letter, you can write extremely cautiously whereas when you are talking, you might not be that deep into what you are trying to say. I have always had difficulties in expressing myself orally. In case a day comes when I need to apologize to someone, I will surely go on for writing a letter.

Apologies in a letter are great but only if you mean it. You should always be straight with people and don’t try to manipulate a situation if you feel hurt because it will turn and bite you in the future. If something is worth saving then go for it.

Writing a letter like that is emotionally healing all by itself, it really helps to get clarity, a bit of distance, and it feels good to do it regardless of the outcome. I’ve done this myself in the past, and highly recommend it to anybody who’s going through a breakup. Very good advice, thanks!
